To Do Tuesday

Has anyone else started feeling super duper busy with the beginning of school coming up?  I somehow ended up skipping last week's post, so I won't really go over my previous goals.  I spent much of last week working on my classroom and was scheduled for A LOT of hours at my part-time job.

School starts exactly a week from today.  I'm going in for a meeting and to work on my classroom today, but I "officially" go back tomorrow.  My classroom is 90% done, but what's left to do now is the less visible stuff...  Labeling my new storage tubs, reorganizing my classroom library, and trying to figure out how the heck I'm going to make room for 6 more desks!  (This will be my biggest class ever!)

  • Tackle my school to do list.  This list is literally 3 pages long!  It's a lot of little things that I need to get done by next Tuesday when school starts.  This will be the biggest time suck in the next week,
  • Complete 10 miles in my workouts.  I set another 50 mile goal for August and as of right now I am only 5 miles in.  It's going to be more of a challenge this month with school starting, but once school actually starts next week and I get on a regular schedule, it should be easier to get in the rest of my miles.
I'll leave you today with some random You Tube goodness.  Two wonderful videos I've recently fallen in love with.

To Do Tuesday

Let's start with last week's goals...

  • Complete at least 15 miles in my workouts.  15.7 miles this week!  I barely met this goal, but I'm within less than 1 mile of my goal of 50 miles for the month of July!
  • Make food at home (on the nights I'm home).  We'll call this a success, but in reality I was gone a lot this week.  I tried to make healthy decisions on the go, but I could have done better.
  • Tackle my pile of lamination that needs to be cutout.  This one is a complete fail.  The pile is still staring at me untouched.
  • Complete at least 3 blog posts.  Barely...  Busyness got the best of me, but I did get a few posts up last week.
  • Keep my apartment clean.  We'll call this a 3/4 success...  My kitchen and living room are clean (and freshly vacuumed), but my bedroom has a pile of clothing that needs to be put away.  To my credit, one of my rods in my closet broke and so storage in there is kind of a mess.
And now onto this week's goals...

  • Complete at least 15 miles in my workouts.  If I manage to reach this goal, that will get me to 65 miles in one month!  After a few weeks of being busy and not eating very well, I need those workouts to get me back on track!
  • Tackle that lamination!  Time is ticking before I'm actually going to need it for school!
  • Complete at least 3 blog posts.  My blogging has kinda slacked from last summer, so I'm working on increasing my posts!
  • Stay away from shopping temptation.  I'll have a Budgeting Bloggers post up before the end of the month, but I've done quite a bit of shopping this month.  Amazingly, my budget isn't completely busted, but I probably need to put the brakes on the spending.
I officially go back to work 2 weeks from tomorrow.  I'm kind of freaking out over how fast this summer has passed by.  I have a whole list of school to do's that I need to get accomplished in the next few weeks.  I've got a good head start on having copies prepped and stuff for the coming year, but there's still so much that goes into getting ready for school to start!  I've got 2 weeks of downtime to try to chip away at it all!

To Do Tuesday

So we'll start with last week's goals...

  • Get up and get moving in the morning.  Last week was the first of my 2 week math workshop.  I have to be there by 8:30 a.m., which really isn't bad at all, but a stretch for my lazy summer schedule.  I'd say this was a success since I made it there on time each day and wasn't too super rushed getting there!
  • Complete at least 10 miles during my workouts.  Does 18 miles sound like I met my goal?  I ended up making it to the gym more than I anticipated, so this was an easy one!
  • Complete at least 3 blog posts.  Check!
  • Resist the urge to shop.  About this one...  I'll explain more in my Budgeting Bloggers post later this month, but let's just say that burning extra time at the mall isn't necessarily a good thing.  On the bright side, I used gift card money and other extra money to get an AMAZING deal on something I really love!
So my goals for this week...

  • Complete at least 15 miles during my workouts.  I'm pretty close to reaching my goal of 50 miles in the month of July, but I'm not going to let myself slack off just because I'm already a little bit ahead!
  • Make food at home (on the nights I'm home).  I have 2 nights in which my schedule will not really allow me time to go home between class and work, so those will be my exceptions.  I'm trying to get in better habits of making food at home, so I've stocked my fridge with healthy options to keep me on track!
  • Tackle my pile of lamination that needs to be cut out.  I have A LOT that needs to be cut out!  It's the perfect thing to keep me busy while I'm watching stuff on TV or Netflix!
  • Complete at least 3 blog posts.   I'll have an update on my school shopping this week sometime this week!
  • Keep my apartment clean.  I did some pretty hard-core cleaning this past weekend, so I plan on keeping it tidy.  It's not like it was a pit in here or anything, but it was a little messier than I prefer!

To Do Tuesday

Let's take a look at last week's goals...

  • Tackle my junk pile.  Epic fail...  While the junk pile has lost some heft, it's attracted new junk taking of residence.
  • Complete at least 15 miles during my workouts.  Yay!  I actually made it to 18 miles and that was even skipping several days because of my busy schedule.
  • Fix the majority of my meals at home.  We'll call this one a success...  A friend from out of town called me to go to dinner on Friday night and picked up Jimmy John's last night (I was gone all day from 7:45 a.m. to about 10 p.m.), but other than that all of my meals were from what I had at home.
  • Complete at least 3 blog posts.  Another success!
  • Finish reading at least 1 book.  Eh.  I was about halfway through a book on my Kindle, but cancelled my Amazon Prime membership and forgot that in doing so I would lose the book I had "rented."  Oops!
And now onto this week's goals...

  • Get up and get moving in the morning.  I'm taking a math course which requires me to be up and moving fairly early.  I'm not a morning person, but I'd like to try to get myself back into good habits before school starts up again.
  • Complete at least 10 miles during my workouts.  I have a super busy week with my math course and working part time, so I'm setting the bar a bit lower.  Completing 10 or more miles this week should still keep me on track to completing my 50 this month.
  • Complete at least 3 blog posts.  Need I explain?
  • Resist the urge to shop!  I did some online shopping during some sales last week, so I am going to try to be good this week.  I will be staying plenty busy, so shopping out of boredom will not be a good excuse this week!
What's on your to do list this week?  Have you been productive this summer or  have you slacked off?

Tuesday, July 2, 2013

To Do Tuesday

I'm trying to keep myself motivated to be productive this summer.  I actually counted the weeks when I don't have anything going on and it ended up being only 3 weeks out of the entire summer when I'm not taking classes or out of town.  Next week starts my 2 week, all-day Common Core math workshop, so I'm trying to hammer out some items this week while I still have some down time.

This week's list:

  • Tackle my "junk pile."  It started out as a box of Christmas gifts and then it somehow evolved into a junk collection tucked away in the corner of the room.  I've just tossed clutter from other spots into that one during my cleaning.  It's been driving me nuts for a while, but I've been too lazy to just sit down and tackle it.
  • Complete at least 15 miles during my workouts.  I'm getting back into my regular workouts after slacking off in June.  I mentioned in my June fitness update that my goal for July is to complete 50 miles.  I knocked out 6 miles in just one day yesterday, so I'm on the right track so far!
  • Fix the majority of my meals at home.  I made a point to spend a lot of money on groceries this past weekend in effort to get myself to cook and eat more at home.  This should be an easy one for this week since I'll be at home the majority of the time.
  • Complete at least 3 blog posts.  I'm usually a lot more consistent with blogging during the summer, so this should be another freebie.
  • Finish reading at least one book.  I've got 2 that I've been working on and I'd like to get through at least one (better yet both) so that I can move onto some others.
I hate running, but when I was out the other day this song popped up on my iPod.  I suddenly got a burst of energy 1995 style.

What's on your to do list this week?
Do you have any special summer projects you're working on?

To Do Tuesday

Let's start with last week's goals...

  • Workout at least 3 times.  Success!  I only made it those 3 times (mid-week got a little crazy), but Sunday I fit in a long, glorious workout!
  • Contact at least 1 out of town friend.  I kind of failed on this one, but I spend some time with one of my friends that's in town that I haven't hung out with much lately.  I think that's gotta count for something.
  • Find my dining table (again). It's amazing how you're forced into things when you have company over!  I even switched up with some cute spring place mats!
And now this week's goals...

  • Workout at least 3 times.  Hopefully I can make it more than that, but 3 days is pretty much my minimum.
  • Track meals and workouts on The Daily Plate everyday.  The Daily Plate is pretty much my go-to when it comes to needing to get back into good habits.  I don't use this site / app all of the time, but I do go back to it when I need a little healthy habit jump start.
  • Get some spring cleaning done at school.  I want to get some cleaning and organizing accomplished little by little before the end of the school year.  I figure if I tackle a few small things each week I will be on the right track!
What are you hoping to accomplish this week?

To Do Tuesday

I'm heading back to work today after a 4 day weekend!  We're in the home stretch as we get closer to the end of the school year!  Only about 7 1/2 weeks stand between me and my summer vacation!

Let's take a look at last week's list...

  • Keep up with regular workouts.  Mission accomplished!  I made it to the gym 4 times in the past week, so I feel pretty good about that.  It's so good to get back in there and be working out regularly again!
  • Cook at least 2 real meals.  I'm going to count this one as a success, but I didn't really push myself on the creative or healthy side of this goal.  I'll keep working on that...
  • Complete at least 4 blog posts.  With "5 Days, 5 Ways" going on last week I posted at least once a day last week.  What a way to end the month!  March was my highest month of views since last August (which was my highest month ever)!
Now onto this weeks goals...

  • Workout at least 3 times.  It's great getting back into the routine of working out regularly.  Truly feel better and have more energy when I'm working out on a regular basis!
  • Contact at least one out of town friend.  I haven't been the best at keeping in touch with my friends that have moved away, so I need to make a better effort at staying in contact with them.  You never know how a phone call or a card in the mail can brighten a person's day!
  • Find my dining table (again).  I have to confess that since I moved last summer my dining table has become a catch-all for junk mail, magazines, and papers.  I never need it for actual dining, so I've become a bit lazy with letting that being a junk collector.  I'd like to see those cute place mats again!
What are you wanting to accomplish in the next week?

To Do Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!  It's time to revisit last week's goals and see how I did!  Since it was spring break I had a lot of extra time to get things accomplished and be productive!
  • Get some cleaning done around the house.  I did pretty well on this.  I still have a few projects to tackle, but I have a pretty clean home at the moment!  I also managed to do a little closet clean-out and sell some items for extra cash!
  • Make lesson plans and sketch out units for the rest of the school year.  I could have done a little better on this one, but I did get plans done and get a few things ironed out for the remainder of the school year.  I have a 4 day weekend this coming weekend and will try to continue this on my days off.
  • Get my workout on!  I made it to the gym 4 times last week!  Oh, it felt sooooo good to be back!
Here are this week's goals!
  • Keep up with regular workouts.  My after school tutoring gig is over for the year, so I'll be able to leave work about an hour earlier than I was when that was going on.  I'm hoping to get into the routine of just going to workout straight after school before I come home.  (I hate going during that time, but I think that will be easiest for me to stick with.)
  • Cook at least 2 real meals this week.  That's aiming a little on the low side, but that's the goal for right now!
  • Complete at least 4 blog posts.  I'm trying to get back into the habit on blogging on a regular basis.  I've settled on the fact that this blog is going to be about a little bit of everything, so I'm just going to write about whatever!  School, makeup, home decor, shopping...  Whatever!
What's on your to do list this week?
Did you have a productive spring break (if you had one)?

To Do Tuesday: Spring Break Edition

Ahhh spring break...  I love being able to celebrate the end of state assessments with a week off of work.  We actually get Good Friday and the Monday following Easter off as well next week, so I'm doing very little work right now.  (Of course I am doing a little fill-in at my part-time job right now, but I still consider this a break.)

I've slacked on my To Do Tuesday posts over the past month or so, but I wanted to share what I have on my to do list for my days off!

  • Get some spring cleaning done around the house.  I get my place immaculately cleaned and then end up trashing it again as soon as the work week starts.  I try to do a little clean up each night, but sometimes that doesn't happen.  I also want to get some hard core deep cleaning done as well.
  • Make lesson plans and sketch out units for the rest of this school year.  Now that assessment season is over I can get back to real teaching!  I'm super excited for some of the units and novel studies that we do at the end of the year!
  • Get my workout on!  I have majorly slacked on working out over the past month.  I was sick with the never-ending cold from hell for almost 4 weeks.  Ugh!  This body needs to get in shape for summer clothing because these arms and legs aren't ready to get shown off anytime soon!
What's on your to do list this week?

If you're on spring break, are you trying to be productive, going on vacation, or taking time for relaxation?

Happy Tuesday!

To Do Tuesday

Here's a review of last week's goals...

  • Prep for conferences.  Check!  The copies have been sent off, the schedule is made, and things should be ready for next week!
  • Cook a real meal at least once.  I lived off leftovers and free birthday meals most of last week, but I did cook again over the weekend.  We'll call it a success.
  • Workout at least 3 times.  Fail.  I ended up getting an allergy cold on Monday and the weather dropped from a gorgeous 70 degrees back down to the 20s, so walking outside at work was out as well.  *sigh*
  • Clean and decorate at home.  This is what made me sick.  Darn dust allergies!
  • Clean my crap pile behind my desk at work.  Mission accomplished.  The crap pile has officially been dismantled.
And now for this week's goals...

  • Finish prepping for conferences.  I have forms to fill out and such, so I want to have all of that done by the time my first conferences begin on Monday.
  • Cook a real meal at least once.  It'd be even better if I could do this on a weeknight, but we'll just have to see about that.
  • Workout at least 2 times.  I'm on the tail end of my cold, but I don't want to push it.
  • Call at least one friend I haven't talked to in while.  Or meet up with one that lives in town!
  • Clean and organize my hoodie / jacket closet.  It's kind of a mess...  And by that I mean a complete disaster.
What's on your to do list this week or month?
What have you accomplished recently?

To Do Tuesday

Here are last week's goals...
  • Complete at least 2 blog posts.  I did pretty well on this one.  I've got several already up and a few more schedule to post this week!
  • Workout at least 3 times.  I'm going to say this one is mostly a success.  I only went to the gym twice, but with our steps / walking / pedometer competition going on at school I've been trying to fit in a lot more walking during the work day.  I've been walking laps around the playground with my students, which has been super fun.  I have only 5 girls in my class this year, so it's been kind of fun to walk and chat with a few of my girls and have some extra girl time while we're outside!
  • Get caught up on grading for school.  I can't say I'm completely caught up, but I'm definitely way better off than I was this time last week.  I stayed late on Friday and hammered out a lot of work that had been piling up.
  • Cook a real meal at least once.  Win.  I did this over the weekend when I had time and motivation, but that still counts.  I didn't eat out at all this past week and bought a few more groceries to make "real" food in the coming weeks.
  • Avoid unnecessary shopping.  I made one online purchase (which I was already considering), but other than that the only shopping I did was to get my Clinique clarifying lotion and birthday gifts at Sephora.  I popped into Gap, but wasn't all that tempted to get anything.
And now this week's goals...
  • Prep for conferences.  Parent-teacher conferences are coming up in a couple weeks, so I want to get a head start on filling out forms and getting all of those things prepped.
  • Cook a real meal at least once.  Same as last week!
  • Workout at least 3 times.  I'm hoping to make it to the gym at least 3 times on top of my extra walking at work.  If it's nice outside, I'm going to try to continue walking with the kids when I have a chance.
  • Clean and decorate at home.  I didn't decorate for Christmas this year, so I have some fall things still out.  I know it's early, but I'm thinking some springy decor may be in order.  I'd also like to find my dining table...  I know it's somewhere under that pile of junk.
  • Clean my crap pile behind my desk at work.  The corner behind my desk has kind of become a catch-all for random stuff in my classroom.  It's driving me nuts!
What's on your to do list this week?
Have you been accomplishing your goals?

Tuesday, January 22, 2013

To Do Tuesday

Let's start by revisiting last week's goals...

  • Complete 3 blog posts.  I did well on this one.  Yay!
  • Workout at least 3 times.  Fail.  I ended up a lot busier in the evenings than normal and then went out of town for 3 days, so I only made it once.  I really wished I would have made it at least 1 other time, but that just wasn't going to happen.
  • Get (and stay) caught up with school stuff.  Epic fail.  Last week was one of the most overwhelming and emotional weeks of school I've ever experienced.  I had some pretty serious things going on with a couple students, reading and math observations, interim assessments, and other obligations that pretty much took away all of my plan time 4 out of 5 days.  I had some urgent needs arise, so just my regular grading and planning had to go on the back burner.  *sigh*  Maybe next week.
  • Contact at least 1 friend I haven't talked to lately.  Well, one of my friends beat me to it and she called me!  It was great talking to her, though!
  • Take some clothes to the resale shop.  I got this done Friday afternoon and walked away with over $30.  I should have gone in earlier since they weren't buying a lot of winter clothing anymore, but I was still pretty happy to walk away with that much money and a few less items taking up space in my house.
And now for this week's goals...

  • Complete at least 2 blog posts.  This might be aiming low, but I just have to prioritize right now.
  • Workout at least 3 times.  We're starting a pedometer competition at school this week and I'm a team captain.  Go us!
  • Get caught up on grading for school.  I really try hard to stay on top of this, but it's usually the first thing to get moved down on the list when other things come up.
  • Cook a real meal at least once.  By this I mean, at least one meal that I "make" at home won't be a box of mac and cheese, tuna helper, or a bag of steamer veggies.  I have zero motivation to cook after a long day at work, especially when it's only for myself.  I don't hate cooking, but I just don't see the point most of the time.
  • Avoid unnecessary shopping.  I just went on a shopping trip this weekend, so this one should be easy.  I'm trying to cut out those "Oh I'm bored" shopping trips.  I don't feel like I'll have time to be bored anyway.
Have you accomplished much lately?

To Do Tuesday

I thought I'd get back into doing my To Do Tuesday posts and share some of my goals for the next week!

  • Complete at least 3 blog posts.  I'll admit I'm horrible about starting a post, saving a draft, and then never following through with it.  I'm going to start carrying my camera with me again so that I can get pictures taken to go with these unfinished posts!
  • Workout at least 3 times.  I'll be visiting friends this weekend and have a few extra weekend obligations, so I'm going to try for 3 visits to the gym and at least 15 miles.
  • Get (and stay) caught up with school stuff.  My goal is to have all of my school stuff done before the long weekend.
  • Contact at least 1 friend I haven't talked to lately.  I just plain need to make a better effort.  (Going to visit them doesn't count either!)
  • Take some clothes to the resale shop.  I've had quite a few items sitting around to go try to sell, but just haven't done it yet.  I'd love to get this pile out of my house and get some cash!
What's on your to do list this week?
Have you been good at sticking to your goals for the new year?

To Do Tuesday

I have to admit I didn't do so hot on completely accomplishing last week's to do list...  I got all of the school-related stuff done, but I didn't really get around to the cleaning out my closet part.

Keeping this one short and sweet today, here's my to do list for the week:

  1. Plan science and social studies units for the next month or so.
  2. Work on sub plans for the two days I'll be gone next week.
  3. Hook up my new computers in my classroom and get them working so that we can use them!
  4. Workout at least 3 times.
Speaking of working out, our students do a mileage club everyday during lunch recess.  The kids walk laps around the playground and have cards where they keep track of their miles.  Our PE teacher decided to let the teachers track their workout mileage as well.  During the first two weeks I logged 22 miles!  I haven't done any since last Thursday because of my cold and I have a busy week, but I'm hoping to fit in another 10 at least this week.  My class is keeping me accountable, so it's been a fun and motivating way for me to stay on top of my workouts.

What's on your to do list this week?

It's Back... To Do Tuesday!

I haven't done a To Do Tuesday for quite sometime, so I decided now that the new school year is rolling this would be a good way to hold myself accountable to some of the things I want to get done in the next week.  I'm going to try to make this one pretty short and sweet!

  1. Finish cleaning my apartment - I tackled the clutter and laundry that had accumulated since the craziness of school began again.  (It kind of looked like Pinterest had exploded in here!)  Now I need to get the actual cleaning finished...  Vacuum, dust, mop, etc.
  2. Finalize my spelling groups for this semester - I won't go into everything that goes into the way we have to do spelling, but I will say it's a pain and I'm looking at having about 4 spelling lists in my classroom.  (*grumbles*)
  3. Grade my AIMS assessments - If you also do AIMS math tests, you know how (not) fun this is.  I've been putting this off since the online testing window doesn't open until the 1st, so I think this will be what I do on Saturday while I'm enjoying some college football!
  4. Clean out my closet - I cleared out a lot of stuff when I moved a few months ago, but my closet is getting quite tight again and I need to go through it once more and decide if there are some items I can part with.  I have to make way for some new things!
  5. Get my sub stuff ready - I found out last week I'll be missing 4 days of school in September due to various meetings and trainings.  I really hate being gone, but I know that's just what comes with some of the roles I've taken on at school.  Since my favorite regular sub is doing a maternity leave right now and I've got slightly more high maintenance group of kiddos I need to be sure to have my stuff together for my subs!
What's on your to do list this week?  Anything special you're looking to accomplish?

The Home Stretch

It's To Do Tuesday Monday!

Part of me really cannot believe that just today and tomorrow separate me from summer freedom and back to school!  This summer has really flown by!

My last two days are going to be devoted to me getting stuff done before going back to work on Wednesday.  I wish I could say I have some exciting activities planned, but that's not quite the case...

Here's what's on my to do list for the next two days:

  1. Get all caught up on laundry.
  2. Really clean my apartment.
  3. Get my windshield replaced. (*Ugh*  I've had a mysterious growing crack since January that I've finally decided needs to go!)
  4. Really clean out my car.
  5. Try to fit in an oil change.
  6. Work on a couple blog posts.
  7. Work finish editing my classroom handbook.
  8. Create my new lesson plan template (pending the schedule gets finalized soon).
  9. Finish reading the book I've been working on way. too. loooooong.
I feel like that's plenty for me to try to get accomplished between today and tomorrow.  I mostly want to have my home in order.  I'm 97% settled and unpacked after moving, but there are just a few things that need to find a home or go into storage.

*sigh*

The end is near.

What are you trying to get done before going back to school?

To Do Tuesday

I must admit, I haven't done all that well in the past week with meeting all of the things that were on my to do list...  The garage sale and that whole ordeal ended up being much more of a time and energy suck than I thought, so I was pretty much just in survival mode from that.  Then, I ended up getting sick after going to the Rick Springfield concert with my mom the other night.  The concert was outside and was awesome, but we sat right behind these three ladies that smoked the entire time!  I have really bad allergies and asthma that's triggered by smoke, so I've been sick ever since!  Ugh!  I've been pretty useless for the last few days and have doing a whole lot of sleeping and TV watching.

Here are the to dos for the next week:

  • Pack, pack, pack!  I'm moving in a week and a half!  I've done a lot of going through boxes and sorting stuff, but not really any packing yet.
  • Wedding shower planning.  I'm throwing a wedding shower for my roommate in a few weeks, so I've got some planning to get done!  First on the to do list is getting invites designed and sent out!
  • Paint my $2 chair and nightstand.  I've made it as far as picking out the color I want, now it's just a matter of getting the color purchased and getting the actual painting done.
I feel like getting those things done will be quite the accomplishment.  This doesn't even include all of my other moving-related tasks I need to get done!  As you can tell, school is totally not on my mind right now.  I keep running across cool ideas online and just save them for later... Not now, though!

*sigh*

It's going to be a busy one!

To Do Tuesday

For some reason now that school is out I feel like my life suddenly got a lot busier.  I managed to make it to the end of the school year with ease.  (I even had my classroom packed up and my student folders ready a whole day ahead!)

Now that school is out, my efforts have been focused to getting ready to move.  This coming weekend will be my garage sale and I'm really hoping to get some of the junk out of here!

So, my to do list for this week:

  • Prep for and survive my garage sale.
  • Take remaining items for storage or Goodwill.
  • Paint (or at least buy paint for) my new chair.  (Which you can read about here.)
  • Finish reading The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella.  (I've been working on this book for like 2 years...  I've read others in the meantime, but for some reason even though I like this book it hasn't been a priority for me to finish!)
I'm also attempting to get back into a good diet and exercise routine despite the busy schedule.  I feel like the last few weeks of school are always tough to stay in good habits, so now is the time to get back into the routine!  I love summer for the fact that I have more time (usually) to make healthier meals and that I can go workout during the middle of the day when it's a lot less crowded!  Yay!

So, do you have any to dos this week?  Please share!

To Do Tuesday (Oops! I mean Thursday!)

So much for posting my to do's on Tuesday this week.  Oh well, better late than never!

Did I accomplish the things I set out to do last week?

Well, for the most part...  I got my desk cleaned out and organized, which was probably one of the things that I hadn't done that was driving me nuts.  I've got the year-end progress reports printed and plan to work on those  over the next couple nights during my TV time.  And finally, the grades...  Those are pretty much done, with the exception of one assignment, and they're due by noon tomorrow so I'm going to wrap that one up tonight.

This week's to do's:

  1. Clean and prep my room for summer!  (The last day is Tuesday, a half day, and then we have work time the rest of the day and can check out around 1 p.m. Wednesday!)
  2. Cut out lamination.  I have a stack sitting in my basement and I'm trying to clean everything in preparation for my move next month!
  3. Finish cleaning out my closet for my garage sale!
I'll post my progress next week, as well as my next set of to do's!  I seem to be buying a lot of storage containers at Target for both home and school.  It's a good thing they're on sale this week!

Happy Thursday! :)

To Do Tuesday

I decided that for the end of the school year and into the summer I'm going to do a feature called To Do Tuesday.  I'm just going to share some of my goals for the week and things that I'd like to accomplish.  I'm hoping this will inspire me to get things accomplished at a reasonable pace and not be such a procrastinator.  Maybe a little accountability too?  Yes, that sounds good.

As the school year nears the end, I'm really trying to focus on getting things organized for next fall.  I feel like my school year starts out sooooo much better when I get some of the organizational stuff done before I leave at the end of May.

I'm not feeling terribly motivated to push myself this week.  I have obligations after school almost everyday this week, so that cuts into my To Do-ing time...  But, I'm still going to try to hammer out a few items.

Here are this week's To Do's:

  1. Clean out my desk.
  2. Begin working on end-of-the-year assessment reports.  (It's the same sheet I go over with parents at conferences, only with the most recent testing scores.)
  3. Wrap up grades for this nine weeks.
So, my goal is to have these things done (or some at least started) by next Tuesday.  I'll update you on my progress and share next week's To Do's!

I also want you to share your own To Do list and what you would like to accomplish.  Sometimes I don't think of things until I see or hear about another person doing it, so this is a good way to inspire and encourage one another to be productive!
